On this and the following pages, I've tried to avoid listing living people. If you see Descendants Living, that means the next generation has living people. I wanted to show which branches have continued to the present day, but at the same time preserve people's privacy.

I get a lot of requests from people wanting information on their Ruark families and knowing some names, but not the locations. Until more information can be found on them, I'm going to go ahead and put them under this "Unknown location" page. Once we can pin down where they lived, we'll move them to the appropriate place.
Florence Alice Ruark was born in Illinois, and married Robert William Ford. They had children born in Indiana and Missouri, and had eventually moved to California.
Mr. Ruark was murdered by a man to whom he was selling a horse. His sons Harry and Floyd went on to have families. It's possible they originated in Kentucky, and later moved into Ohio.
William M. Ruark married Irene Baker, and had at least 8 children from 1989 - 1914.
James Ruark married Rachel Cropper. Thye had at least 5 children born between 1823 & 1834.
