This website is dedicated to the history and genealogy of the Ruark family. My own Ruark ancestry can be found here, as well as information on ANY Ruark family I've been able to find. My only limitation is this: I try to avoid putting information about any living person on this site. Occasionally, you'll find e-mail links to people who are interested in a particular family, but nothing else.
Please note, this site is dedicated to the RUARK family. The Roark family is a common surname, but I'm really trying to limit this site to the Ruark name. Thanks!
Rootsweb and Ancestry.com have teamed up, and the message boards now look a
little different. Rather than having separate boards for queries, biographies, deeds,
etc., everything's now in one place. This makes things mugh easier to find! If you
want to narrow your search a bit and only look for deeds (for example), just select
deeds in the drop-down box on the page you'll come to.
If you have a question, or would like to see if anyone has more information about your branch of the Ruark family, please post a query, rather than writing me directly. That way, many more people will have an opportunity to help you!,

I have just recently completed the * NAME INDEX *. Organized by surname, this is the one to pick if you already know the name of your Ruark ancestors, but don't knpow where they lived.
