The Ruark Families of Garfield County, Washington

On this and the following pages, I've tried to avoid listing living people. If you see Descendants Living, that means the next generation has living people. I wanted to show which branches have continued to the present day, but at the same time preserve people's privacy.

If you see anything wrong here, or if you want anything added, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

Two Ruark brothers moved to Garfield County, Washington, in the late 1800's. The first was Thomas Ruark, who with his wife Mary (Messenger) and their family moved here in 1878. They had started their family in Wayne County Iowa, and had moved to Walla Walla in 1862.

Thomas' brother, John M. Ruark, moved to Garfield County in the spring of 1880.
