John Ruark (1822-1895IA) - md Drusila Clark ( -1893IA). John was the son of Peter Ruark of Pulaski County, Kentucky, and migrated first north, then West, like his brothers. He and Drusila first moved to Indiana, the to Van Buren County, Iowa, around 1850. John's brother, Peter, also moved to Iowa around this time, settling in Wayne County. John and Drusila later moved to Davis County, Iowa, to live with their daughter Nancy Rogers, a young widow raising 5 sons on her own.
